Schönbrunn
December 22, 2008
While in Vienna, Emily and I visited the Schönbrunn Palace, where Marie Antoinette spent her childhood. The 17th century estate is as beautiful and extravagant one could imagine. The Palace wasn’t the highlight of our visit though, but rather it’s outstanding gardens. The section where we found a good three hours of entertainment was the labyrinth designed by playground design expert Günter Beltzig. At its entrance I happily purchased a delicious German Schneider Weisse beer and we explored to our delight. We had an unanticipated, wondeful time – one of the highlights of our trip!
